Our Mission and Vision
Music for Migrants believes in a world where borders are transcended by the universal language of music.
Our goal is to promote healing through music, theatre and creative expression.
Our mission is to provide musical instruments and other educational materials to migrant children, asylum seekers and refugees awaiting reunification with family members here in the United States.
Music for the Classroom
We use a variety of instruments to help our kids learn about music and help them to heal from trauma.
Theatre for the Classroom
We use puppets and theatre to promote Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) in the classroom and help students through difficult conversations about their trauma.
Dance and Movement Therapy
We use Dance and Movement Therapy to help migrant children grow and develop self-awareness through creative expression.
Art and Creative Expression
We use arts and crafts as a way to support the mental health of child migrants and help them reduce stress caused by the migration journey.
Guitar Fundraisers
We purchase guitars for our residential programs to give our older migrant children an outlet for creative expression.
