Who we are

Claire and Evan Wallace met thirteen years ago when they were cast as husband and wife in a college theatre production. They proceeded to perform together in choirs, a cappella groups and other musical settings for years to come.

Inspired by the joy that music has brought them both, Claire and Evan have made it a priority to bring that same joy to others in need. Through her work with child migrants and refugees, Claire has found that the arts provide a great source of comfort for her students. Evan has been instrumental (pun intended) in the search for gently used instruments for her classroom, a task that inspired the creation of Music for Migrants.

Please help Claire and Evan as they work to buy more instruments for Claire’s school and share the healing gift of music with these very special kids! Our dream is to expand our reach to other refugee and immigrant shelters in New York and, hopefully, throughout the country!
